Tru Art introduces new large-format options

Already noted for an array of printing and binding capabilities, Tru Art Color Graphics has broadened its offerings with the addition of large-format, digital inkjet printing. The new equipment bolsters Tru Art Promotional Graphics’ menu of banners, posters and other point-of-purchase and promotional signage.

Tru Art of Iowa City, Iowa, is celebrating in 2009 the 40th anniversary of offering screen-printed banners and signage through the Promotional Graphics segment. Screen-printing is often still the best option for durability and long runs. However, the new technology provides cost-effective production of banners 4 feet high and virtually any length in vivid four-color process colors and in quantities as low as one.

“In addition to our traditional offset printing capabilities, we produce single and multi-color jobs, including four-color process, on a variety of substrates through Tru Art Promotional Graphics,” said David Bywater, president of Tru Art. “The screen-printing arm complements our main offset business, even more so with its new digital press. We are a full-service print provider and we are well-versed in producing custom printing projects of various fashions.”

Tru Art’s banners are often finished with hems and grommets to meet customer requirements. However, Tru Art also offers a range of other display options, including retractable displays, a three-sided hanging frame and a floor display with a folding base.
